Its tiny yellow flowers are rich in pollen and nectar which it will be attractive for wide variety of beneficial insects to the garden. Also it combats against many pests so it is a great asset to the garden.
 


It is sown from spring to summer, if you grow indoors you can do it all year. Sow the seeds in rows to 1 cm deep and spaced 10 cm between seeds in a sunny place. If you want to plant in pots or planters choose those that are deep,because the Dill grows long roots. Transplant can be bad for it, it is best sown directly in the garden or in the final pot.
 


It is very easy to grow, you just have to put it in a sunny site and keep well watered. Furthermore, it is tolerant with most climates, it is a perfect herb for anyone who has never grown anything and wants to start it.

 

You can use both, leaves and seeds it produces. It is better use fresh dill, because when it dried loses much aroma, it keeps well in the fridge, for about 3 weeks, you can also freeze. It is very important in the development of marinated salmon,it is also used in preserves and pickles. You can combine it with fish, chicken, beets, cucumber, cream and cottage cheese and flavored vinegars, soups, sauces and salads. Dill can be a replacement for parsley, tarragon and mint in sauces.


 
It is often used in the treatment of digestive disorders, especially in infusion because it relieves colic, indigestion, flatulence and helps remove the hiccups. Moreover, it is a good antibacterial for digestive problems.
 

Dill improves the growth and health of cabbage. It can also be planted with, lettuce, onions, sweet corn and cucumbers. It isn't be recommended to sow tomatoes, carrots, caraway, lavender and fennel.
