The seeds of this variety we offer are Organic.

The Rocket is planted between March and September in a place with sun or partial shade. We must sow the seeds to 0.5 cm deep and 10 cm of separation, then you have to cover lightly with soil. We must always keep the soil moist, if there aren't enough water, the leaves will be smaller and spicy. The rocket is ideal for pots because their roots don't need much deep. For a continuous crop we can plant it in stages.

We collect the leaves when was needed, they are kept in washed the fridge two or three days. We must cut the leaves, don't pull the plant to produce more, until the time comes to flower. Its flowers are also edible but its taste are spicier than the leaves.

The way to use more widespread in Spain is raw; in salad mixtures or salads made with arugula nothing more. But in Italy and France, where it has been consumed for centuries, it has a lot of utilities; in soups, sauces, pasta and rice. It is lightly cooked, added the fried and considered a substitute for spinach. It is also often added to baked pizzas and is an excellent "bed" for seafood. It is common in the Italian recipe "rocket pesto", a variant of the popular sauce "pesto" traditional.

The rocket is rich in beta carotene, vitamin C, pro-vitamin A, calcium, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, iron and fiber. It is a plant with anti-anemic qualities that also improves intestinal transit and promotes digestion.

It can tolerate longest cycle plants, like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onion and lettuce, some of these will give it shade. It is better avoid planting near plants in the same family as cabbage, radish or turnip.

In Roman times the rocket was cultivated for its leaves and its seeds. The seed was used to aromatic oils and as an ingredient in drinks that they considered aphrodisiacs. Part of a typical Roman food was, offer a salad "green" made with: arugula, romaine lettuce, chicory, mauve and lavender and then seasoned with a "cheese sauce for lettuce"
