Hot Pepper Tabasco is the main ingredient of the famous spicy "Tabasco" sauce. This Sauce has been produced in southern Louisiana since 1848 and whose dry smoky flavour is used worldwide to flavour a lot of foods. In addition to in this sauce, we can eat these peppers fresh, in stews, meat, roasted, fried, smoked or dried.

Its fruits that measure about 2 cm, ripen from yellow to orange and then to red, they grow vertically. The level of itching of the peppers is between high and very high. It is a tall plant, around 140-150 cm, although it is also suitable for growing in large pots. The seeds of this variety we offer are 100% Natural.

Planting is from February to May. Pepper needs at least 20°C to germinate, so it is always advisable to sow in seedbeds inside. We have to sow 2 or 3 seeds per small seedbed of approximately 1 cm depth. We must always keep the soil moist. Later, when the weather was enough warm, we can transplant into the garden or pots. like all peppers they need enough hot and light. We also need to water them fairly but without flooding, so we will get to give more fruit and better.

The fruits ripen in 90 days. To harvest, cut the fruit with scissors, we shouldn't pull the peppers because we could damage the plant. While they are ripening their itching is increasing. It is important that, when you touch the seeds for planting and harvest the peppers, don't touch your face before washing hands, because they can cause burning. They can be frozen and dried.

Peppers contribute to our diets a lot of vitamins, fiber, potassium and antioxidants. The red varieties have higher amounts of vitamins C and A. The pepper has stimulant, digestive, cardiovascular and disinfectant properties. It provides the body with a large dose of silicon and fluorine, which is very important for nails, hair and skin. Among its benefits we can highlight that: neutralizes acidity, improves rheumatism and arthritis, active liver function and it is vasodilator. Its consumption is important to prevent the onset of degenerative and chronic diseases.

On the other hand, capsaicin which gives to chili peppers their hotness, has a natural antibiotic action, hence foods made with chilies are kept better. They also have some analgesic effect. The hot peppers aren't harmful in people with stomach problems in general, a moderate amount favor the digestion by stimulating stomach mucosa and gallbladder function.

We can plant the peppers with tomatoes, eggplant, carrots, sprouts, basil, geraniums and petunias, but not kale, cabbage, beans, red beets, peas, fennel and Brussels sprouts.
